With the changing compliance landscape, and the threat of fines for non-compliance, Queue Associates found themselves needing to comply with a growing number of privacy regulations around the world, this prompted them to reach out to The Data Privacy Group. Beginning with an initial audit of the Queue Associates websites and other technology, The Data Privacy Group highlighted the work that needed to be performed to meet compliance requirements across the business.
“We were shocked to learn the extent to which we were out of compliance, despite not having neglected privacy or security. But now we knew what we had to do to meet compliance requirements across our global operations,” said Jeffrey.
Through recommendations from within Queue Associates and from The Data Privacy Group, OneTrust was the only software that was considered for the task at hand. Choosing a comprehensive suite of OneTrust modules, including Assessment Automation, Data Mapping, Data Subject Access Requests, DataGuidance, Awareness Training, Incident Management, Policy and Notice Management, the goal was to implement a privacy platform that could scale and grow as the need arose.

Being able to roll out a combination of general awareness modules and specialty awareness modules meant that Queue Associates employees received the privacy training that they needed in their role.
By building a solid foundation of understanding and privacy and related processes, employees felt more confident in engaging with privacy on an everyday basis, whether that’s filling out assessments with the appropriate information, or considering the privacy impact of project from the outset.
An early priority for the Queue Associates team was to get their cookie banners, consent, and management in order and compliant given that cookies are so public facing and a big focus of regulators. Given the global reach of their websites they trialled a few different iterations with the support of their Website Development team, OneTrust’s customizable tool, and The Data Privacy Group’s expertise.
“With no fines issued in the past year we consider the program to have a 100% success rate,” said Jeffrey.

Having a centralized dashboard helps their team manage privacy processes like assessments and data mapping, and will help to streamline their DSAR process, improving response times and accuracy.
